A yoga workshop for complete beginners or those looking to deepen their practice of common poses.

During this workshop we will overview some of the most common postures that are shared during yoga classes. Natalie will break the postures down into detail, sharing common misalignments and cues that can help you achieve these postures with greater accuracy, safety, and ease. Individual adjustments will be given so that you can learn more about how the postures feel in your body. For each posture, Natalie will also overview various modifications that can be taken. During any yoga class you attend, you can choose between these different modifications to either make the posture more accessible to you or to allow you to go deeper into the stretch.
Natalie's intention with this workshop is that you will walk away with:
a deeper understanding of basic yoga postures and common transitions
an enhanced connection with your body and how different yoga postures and modifications work best for you
more confidence in attending community yoga classes and practicing yoga on your own
The structure of our workshop: For each posture, Natalie will first demonstrate and explain. Then you will be invited to get into the posture on your mat. Natalie will then share hands on adjustments and details about different modifications. After we learn in depth about all the postures, Natalie will teach a brief yoga class- putting it all together. There will be time for reflection, and we will end in a short meditation.

About the Instructor: Natalie Lain has been facilitating wellness workshops since 2019 including guided meditation, creative art meditation, cacao ceremonies, and ecstatic dance. She is honored to be a yoga teacher RYT 200. She completed her training at Om My Yoga Academy in February of 2024 and is Yoga Alliance certified. Natalie began teaching yoga in April of 2024 and offers vinyasa yoga, aerial yoga, yin yoga, and gentle yoga classes. She is passionate about mindfulness, wellness, and community & is inspired by the idea that in intentional spaces, we are all each other’s teachers.
