With open hearts, boundless Love, and SO. MUCH. GRATITUDE…we are bringing in the 2022 season of ecstatic dances outdoors at Amethyst Retreat Center! We are so excited to share in these experiences of resonance, connection, bliss, healing, and joy amongst kindred spirits. All of this while being immersed in Nature at the beautiful sanctuary that is Amethyst! Gather around the crackling fire in this immersive sonic experience and explore how healing freeform movement can be.
Our event takes place in three distinct and important parts: a live conversational Q&A with a panel of fabulous speakers, Cacao Ceremony with guided heart-opening and deep sound healing goodness, then our Ecstatic Dance which ends back in a circle and then moves into an energetic drum circle.
Theme: Each of our events throughout the summer will have a theme. This will be based off of collective energies and will be the focus of our Q&A and collective intention. You may notice synchronicities between your own journey and our collective focus. We welcome you to dive deep into your own healing as well with any intentions within yourself that you’d like to explore throughout the evening. Ecstatic Dance is a powerful way to release what no longer serves you and to invite the new and creative insights in.

We invite you to bring a journal in case any ideas come through that you’d like to jot down or sketch.
May this be an evening of self discovery, where we can collectively and individually open ourselves to the limitless creativity that is within all things. We each have unique and beautiful gifts to bring into this world!
Investment: This event is FREE !! We want this event to be accessible to everyone! We are suggesting a donation of $15 or more to raise money for Amethyst and to support the efforts made to organize/create this atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. You can decide how much to give based on your current financial situation.
The Cacao Ceremony will be optional and we are asking for $5 for each person who joins to cover the cost of the Cacao.

This event is family friendly, however we kindly ask that it remain pet free.

To respect the mission of Amethyst and to protect the sanctity of our container, we ask that you do not bring any drugs or alcohol to this event.

8-10:30PM Ecstatic Dance & Drum Circle
To open the evening we will hear from a few speakers (TBA); sharing stories, tools, and nuggets of wisdom from their personal journeys with art, music, and life during a live interview hosted by Ruthie Lerato. We intend for this to be a time where we can learn from one another’s journeys and take away some powerful information to help us along our personal paths!
We will then come together to connect in a big circle around the fire where we will share in a heart-opening Cacao Ceremony guided by Natalie Lain. This will include some freestyle sound healing and channeled messages to help guide the group deep into the heart-center where we may be liberated from anything outside of the Here & Now.

If you plan not to partake in the Cacao ceremony, that’s okay! You can sit in the circle even if you do not prefer to drink any. There are also plenty of amazing nature trails to explore all over Amethyst!
As our hearts begin to open even deeper, we will join together around a massive fire pit under the rising moon and take part in a transformative Ecstatic Dance and drum circle!
You will be invited to connect with your primal and energetic nature as we all move freely and practice this unique form of healing, self-expression, and release.
Our PLAY-list is designed by Natalie Lain who regularly DJ’s ecstatic dance experiences. The music will take you on a sweet and powerful inner & collective journey. It incorporates a variety of music styles to help you explore moving your body in new ways. (Some genres include organic-electronic, EDM, reggae, folk, and percussive tribal beats.) The dance is a unique and personal experience for all who attend. You are truly dancing as an act of love for yourself, with intentions to move in ways that feel good and to release any concerns for how you appear externally. In this safe space, you may find yourself shedding layers of tension, of inner-criticism, or of any other unnecessary energies. We encourage you to be gentle with yourself throughout the process, exploring your edges and nourishing your body, mind, spirit, and heart. For some it can be a fun, lighthearted celebration, for others a full-on workout or emotion release; it depends on what you want to get out of it!
As the celebration comes to an end, we will come together for a closing ceremony. Everyone will be invited to focus back on their original intention and reflect on their experience. We may go around the circle and invite those who wish to share their experience or feelings. This is a safe space with loving individuals where you can feel free to receive and express with compassion and without judgment. You are welcome completely - come as you are. <3
About the Host:
Natalie Lain is an events facilitator and musician based out of the Harrisburg area. She’s inspired to channel intentional sonic journeys for those traveling within. Natalie frequently hosts Ecstatic Dance journeys, guided meditations, and Cacao Ceremonies. She is inspired by the idea that we are all each other's teachers, and in these gatherings we can all teach each other and learn more about ourselves along the way.

Cacao Ceremonies have taken place for thousands of years as a way to explore within our spiritual practices and come together to open our hearts. They originally were performed by native tribes within what is now Central and South America.
